Lionel Thomas, Administrator of the men's London League from 1995 to 2017, has passed away at age 90

Known for his gentle demeanor, unfailing cheerfulness, and calming presence, Lionel was the embodiment of grace in sports administration. For more than two decades, he skillfully managed more than a dozen divisions, earning universal respect and admiration from all who knew him.

Working alongside Chairman Jim Jarrett, Lionel's light-touch approach to leadership helped modernise the London League while preserving its cherished traditions. His legacy includes the successful introduction of Masters divisions and the embracing of new technologies, innovations that continue to benefit the sport today.

Lionel will be greatly missed by the entire London League community. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.
